The construction of the cathedral began in 1385, on the initiative of Pope Urban VI. The building represents the Gothic-Romanesque style, with a simple façade and eight pilasters. Tourists can admire the Corrado Giaquinto frescoed chapel, the Madonna statue from 1510, and the Chapel of St. Tobias, which is now used as a cathedral museum.
