Roman baths come from the third century and are located under the palace and cathedral. The complex suffered during the volcanic eruption and earthquake in the 17th century, however, Prince Biscari again made the baths available in the 18th century. In the western part of the building you can see the flowing river and the base of the famous Elephant fountain.
