Fountain of Aeolus

The imposing fountain depicts Eola, the god of winds, infusing the winds against the Trojans. The sculptural group was made by Gaetano Salomone, Brunelli, Violani, Persico and Solari. It consists of twenty-eight statues, although the original design assumed fifty-four. The fountain was never finished.
