Piazza Libertà

Rectangular square in the city center. At its western end there are two columns - the first is crowned with a lion of St. Mark (a symbol of Venetian domination), the other with a figure of St. Bassiano, patron saint of the city. The main streets meet on the square and there are many prestigious buildings around it.
