Arzachena is a holiday village in Sardinia. There are beautiful sandy beaches here, and the area is a real paradise for those looking for a chance to rest in the surroundings of wonderful nature.

Until the mid-twentieth century, Arzachena, like many other towns in Sardinia, was only a local agricultural center. Olives and vines are still grown in the area, and excellent cheeses and cold cuts are made. However, the tourism boom that took place after 1950 meant that services for visitors began to play an increasingly important role in the economy of the town.

The oldest, traditional part of Arzachena is located a few kilometers from the coast. New districts with hotels and guesthouses descend down gentle slopes to the beaches. This combination of tradition and modernity means that leisure in the area allows both the use of tourist services at the highest level and participation in traditional entertainment, such as visits to wineries, tasting wines and local products, Sardinian feasts and fishing picnics.

The biggest attraction of Arzachena are the local beaches covered with golden sand. The most famous are Spiaggia del Principe Beach, Celvia Beach, Romazzion Beach, Capriccioli Beach, Liscia Ruja Beach, Grande Pevero Beach and Poltu Di Li Cogghj Beach. They form the so-called Emerald Coast, which is one of the most-chosen holiday destinations in Sardinia.
