Located in the center of the Medici Fortress park, a monument dedicated to Petrarka was built in 1928 by Alessandro Lazzerini. The four-meter-high monument is a complex sculptural group - apart from the figure depicting the poet, there is an eclectic collection of elements from the life and poetry of Petrarch.
