Basilica of San Francesco

Basilica known for a series of frescoes by Piero della Francesca, located in one of the chapels. In February 1955, Pope Pius XII elevated it to the dignity of a minor basilica. In the Chapter Archives, a parchment has been preserved showing the oldest architectural drawing in Italy from the 13th century, depicting the church just described.
