Piazza Grande

The most beautiful public square in Arezzo, in the heart of the medieval city. It has a characteristic trapezoidal shape, with a strongly inclined surface. It was founded around the 13th century and in the 16th century was reduced to its present size. Initially, it was a place of trade, and in the days of the Medici it became a city center (offices were moved here).
