The church was built in the gothic style in the 13th century. In 1489, a monastery designed by Giuliano da Maiano was added to it. It houses the relics of the holy martyrs Flora and Lucilla, which were brought to Arezzo by Bishop John in the 9th century. It is worth paying attention to the frescoes by Bartolomeo della Gatta from the 15th century and the monumental main altar.
