Zachariah's grave is in the Cedron Valley. It is a building from Roman times, made of a stone block. Underneath it was most likely the burial crypt. The tomb has the shape of a cuboid standing on the stairs and topped with a pyramid.
The names of the grave are arbitrary. There are no certified sources about who was buried there. Information about the prophet Zacharias appears only in the writings of Jewish scholars from the 13th century. It is also impossible to identify the prophet Zacharias, because according to tradition two of them bore such a name.
The tomb is located near the place where other priests and Old Testament prophets are buried. The Cedron Valley at the foot of the Mount of Olives with a view of the Temple Mount was a traditional burial place of the most important dignitaries and prophets. The grave is made of stone and its facade is decorated with columns and columns with Ionic capitals.
