Gan HaPa'amon Park is one of the largest green areas in Jerusalem. It was founded in 1976. There are playgrounds, playgrounds, walking paths and picnic areas. It is a popular holiday destination. Outdoor events are also held here.
The name of the park can be translated as Liberty Bell Center. This is a reference to the replica of the Liberty Bell from Philadelphia, which stands at its center. The park was created and named on the anniversary of the signing of the American Declaration of Independence.
The park is a place of recreation and rest. There is also a theater here where plays for children are staged. There are book fairs, Mascot Festival and the annual Hakafot Shniot festival that takes place after Sukkot.
