The gardens were built on the slope of Mount Carmel, and their focal point is the Mausoleum of Baba, the resting place of the founder of a religious movement called babism. The complex consists of 19 terrace gardens, maintained in different but complementary styles. In addition, they offer a panoramic view of the entire city and its surroundings.
