Dyrhólaey
Local name: Dyrhólaey
The small promontory is ended with a high cliff with a characteristic rock arch. There is a stone lighthouse on it, which was built by pulling materials from the beach lying more than 100 m below. It is also a breeding place for sea birds, including puffins and guillemots, which is why in May and June access is not allowed.
