Nea Kameni Volcanic Park

An island off the coast of Santorini was the result of a volcanic eruption in the 16th century. It is popular among tourists because of the opportunity to see the volcanic crater up close. The island forms a protected park. The slopes of the 150-meter crater are covered with thickets and tufts of grass.
