The largest botanical garden in Greece and in the eastern Mediterranean. It is divided into thematic areas. They include sections devoted to historical, ancient and mythical vegetation, contemporary Greek vegetation, plants from Asia, the Arctic, South America and Oceania. There are 25 ponds with aquatic plants in the garden.
