Eetionian Gate
Local name: Ηετιώνεια Πύλη
The ruins of the defensive walls of the port of Piraeus are part of the fortifications of Athens erected from the Bronze Age to the early 20th century. Nineteenth century. One of the better preserved fragments is the Diateichisma Wall from the 4th century BC. A 900-meter wall ran through the Muz, Nymph and Pnyx Hill - in the valleys between the hills there were gates through which the road to the port ran.
