Lake Voulismeni

A small, coastal lake in Crete. It is connected to the sea by a port channel, thanks to which its waters are salty. According to legend, the lake was the bathing place of Athena. Despite the small size, the lake is very deep, which gives rise to local legends that it has no bottom.
