Palace of Phaistos
Local name: Μινωικό Ανάκτορο Φαιστού
The ruins of the palace of Minoan cultures dated 1700-1450 BC. It was an important center of trade and smelting of copper ore and bronze production. The building layout embedded around the central courtyard is still visible. Ruins of craft stalls and equipment for smelting and transporting metals have also survived.
