Marienberg Fortress

The fortress stands on a hill above the Menu Valley, in the place where a Celtic defensive settlement had once been. On its territory there is one of the oldest churches in Germany - a stone rotunda from the 8th century. The inner courtyard is surrounded by fortifications built from the 13th to the 17th century. From the observation tower you can admire the panorama of the area.
