Alpsee

Mountain lake in the Bavarian Alps near the Austrian border. It is almost 2 kilometers long and has a highly fragmented shoreline. Its banks are overgrown with forests. Higher alpine peaks rise above. There are two well-known castles on the lake, Neuschwanstein and Hohenschwangau. The lake is a place where wild swans live.
