The former city center, with the 14th-century town hall, is now the most popular tourist destination in Münster. One of the most magnificent buildings at the square is the cathedral of St. Paweł - a masterpiece of late Roman architecture. A large market takes place twice a week on the square, festivities and major cultural events are organized.
