The zoo is one of the oldest in Germany. 3400 animals from over 230 species live here. The sightseeing route measures approx. 5 km long and runs along extensive catwalks reflecting the natural conditions where different species live together. There are, among others African savanna, Gorilla Mountain, Yukon Bay, Asian Jungle Palace or Australian wilderness.
