It is a private museum where visitors can touch, smell and taste over 50 types of spices. In addition, the object presents their cultivation, harvesting and use over the years. The oldest exhibits come from the 16th century. It is the only museum of this type in the world.
The facility has over 900 exhibits presenting the process of obtaining and using spices on an area of 350m2. An important part of the exhibition is their history, which is closely linked to the maritime industry.
The property organizes many special events such as periodic exhibitions, lectures, cooking workshops and literary performances. There is also a store offering a wide selection of spices and proprietary blends, herbs, posters and cookbooks.
