Planten un Blomen (in German plants and flowers) is a city park with an area of 47 hectares located in Hamburg. On its territory there is a botanical garden, a palm house and the largest Japanese garden in Europe. So you can try real Japanese tea, admire the varied vegetation, rose garden, children also have the opportunity to ride on ponies. During the summer, the park hosts theater performances and festivals of light and sound.
The park was created after joining the old Botanical Garden with the Wall complex and the former Planten un Blomen area. This name was introduced in 1934-1935 when the German Horticultural Exhibition took place there. Tourists are attracted to this place mainly concerts combined with light shows, which take place every afternoon in the season. Every week, the musical theme of the concerts changes.
