The fountain called the Temple of Venus is one of the most interesting elements of small architecture in the courtyard of the Linderhof palace located in the village of Ettal. The neo-baroque building was erected in 1869-1886 for King Louis II. The ruler never used it - he died a tragic death in the year of construction.
