Panometer Dresden

A fascinating museum that won the prize for Germany's best tourist attraction in 2016. A huge panorama of the city was installed in the building of the former gasworks. You can admire it from the viewing platform in the middle of the room. There is a view of the city around, and the commentary lets you get to know its most important monuments. The theme of the panorama changes every year and various periods of Dresden's history are presented.
