The largest of Cologne's Romanesque churches. It was built in the eleventh century using earlier walls, which dates back to the seventh century. A Roman temple stood there earlier. In the three-nave basilica with a transept, you can see the Romanesque Cologne Door with scenes from the life of Jesus and the 12th century triptych with the image of the Virgin Mary.
