Deutsche Kinemathek is an unprecedented European combination of a museum of two media - cinema and television. Presentations as part of the permanent exhibition include a review of visual materials and exhibits related to film and television from the beginning of their existence to the present day. Most of the exhibitions are based on multimedia materials, mainly film ones.
The museum has an extensive multimedia library in which you can view, among others a selection of the most important programs broadcast from the beginning of German television to the present day. Extensive documentation allows us to trace the development of the television medium and its transformation with the distinction between differences in the times of the division of Germany after World War II.
The museum offers an extensive offer of educational workshops and extensive support (database and recordings) for teachers, students and cinema researchers. Thematic tours of the exhibition concern, among others presentation of the person and achievements of the most famous German movie star - Marlene Dietrich.
