Lichtenthal Monastery

The history of the Cistercian abbey dates back to the mid-thirteenth century. It is worth paying attention to the Gothic monastery church, where there are numerous works of art from the fourteenth and fifteenth centuries. There is also a chapel from the thirteenth century, which houses the tomb of the founder of the monastery and the figure of the Madonna of Keys .
