Local name: Federsee
One of the largest lakes in Baden-Württemberg is located in an area of several dozen square kilometers, a naturally valuable bog and peat bog area. Peat exploitation and settlement in this area already existed in the Stone and Bronze Age. Reconstructed prehistoric huts with furnishings can be viewed at the Federseemuseum.
