Saint-Coulomb is a seaside town with sandy beaches. The area is conducive to peaceful relaxation in the bosom of nature, away from the hustle and bustle, as well as long walks and cycling.
The beginnings of the village date back to the 6th century and are associated with the figure of the monk of St. Kolumba, who with his companions came from Ireland and landed on one of the neighboring beaches. In addition to the name of the town, the missionary commemorates the local 18th-century church.
The town is particularly popular in summer. There are sandy beaches here, La Touesse, Chevrets, Du Guesclin, which are perfect for a quiet family vacation. They are largely surrounded by dunes with walking paths. Thanks to this, after resting, you can go for a stroll and see the coast from a different perspective.
In the past, Saint-Coulomb had several shipyards that produced boats. Their owners built their mansions not in the town itself, but on the coast nearby. To this day, there are several residences that can be visited during your stay in Saint-Coulomb.
