The 350-hectare reserve includes forests, moors, dry grasslands and picturesque rocky slopes. The area is especially geologically and biologically valuable (about 20 species of mammals live here, including large groups of bats). Fortification complexes are also worth visiting, incl. Vauban's 17th-century forts.
