Le Parc des Princes is the city stadium where Paris Saint Germain plays their home games. The shape of the stadium, created by the French visionary architect Roger Tallibert, is legally protected due to its artistic value. The raw, concrete "shell" of the stadium acquired modern interiors at the beginning of the 21st century.
The stadium was built in its present shape in 1972. The concrete, brutal tangent block is one of the icons of modern Paris architecture. The interiors of the stadium, however, were adapted to the requirements of the 21st century. there are spacious stands that can accommodate about 50,000 fans, extensive conference facilities, and in the basement bars, restaurants, shops and parking.
