St. Ambrose's Church is an eclectic temple located in the 11th arrondissement of Paris. Its body combines neo-Romanesque and neo-Gothic elements. On a wide façade with two towers topped with soaring spiers. Above the entrance there is a rosette with a stained glass window. The interior is divided into naves with stone columns.
The church was built during the great reconstruction of Paris in the second half of the 19th century. Earlier, a small temple dedicated to the Mother of God stood in this place. However, it was decided that it would not fit the monumental boulevard and the surrounding houses of the rich bourgeoisie.
So a church was built that was in line with the style of the Napoleonic era. Its facade shows neo-Romanesque and neo-Gothic elements. The soaring towers are connected with semicircularly ending windows, while the façade features a rosette filled with stained glass. The interior of the church is simple. It is only decorated with stone carvings and stained glass windows that fill the windows.
