Museum of the History of Medicine

The Museum of the History of Medicine is located in the building of the College of Burgundy at the Descartes University in Paris. Inside, the furnishings of which date back to the beginning of the 20th century, you can see some of the oldest medical and surgical instruments in Europe.

In the building where the museum is located, the Parisian health school was located since 1776. Currently, it is primarily a representative building, and on the second floor you can see the collection of the Museum of the History of Medicine. There are, among others, surgical instruments from the 18th century. The exhibition is arranged chronologically, which allows you to follow the changes that have occurred in medical technology over the years.
