Belleville Park

Local name: Parc de Belleville

Belleville Park is located on the hill of the same name, at an altitude of 108 m above sea level, which makes it the highest park in Paris. A 30 m high observation deck was built on the top of the hill, from which a panorama of the city stretches. It also houses an annual flower exhibition, whose compositions have repeatedly received awards in thematic competitions.

The park was designed by architect François Debulois and landscape architect Paul Brichet, and its inauguration took place in 1988. It has 1,200 trees and shrubs and 1,000 m² of lawns. There is also a waterfall fountain measuring 100 m, which is the longest object of this type in Paris.

The Belleville Park also features an open-air theater, a wooden playground and table tennis tables. At the top of the hill, a small museum, Maison de l'Air, was created to inform visitors about the importance of fresh air and the problems it causes.
