AccorHotels Arena, also known as Bercy, is one of the largest sports and stage halls in Paris. Built in 1984, it can accommodate 7,000 to 17,000 spectators. Sports events take place here, such as the World Indoor Athletics Championships, the Handball World Championships and basketball games. It is also an arena for musical events. U2, AC / DC, Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Tina Turner and Iron Maiden have performed here.
The hall is built like a truncated pyramid. Its upper part is covered with earth and planted with grass. The entrance to the building is located in the sloping green walls. Above is the metal roof structure. You can also get to the hall through the lower part, where offices, catering facilities and shops are located. The hall is used all year round. Sports events of international importance and numerous music concerts take place here.
