Botanical Garden of Lyon

The 8-hectare botanical garden has a history dating back to the end of the 18th century. In its present shape it was formed in 1857. Currently, there are several thousand plants growing, including 750 varieties of roses and nearly 200 species of peonies. Tropical plants, including giant Amazonian lilies and many species of carnivorous flora, are grown in large greenhouses.
