Bunker La Rochelle is a museum dedicated to the Second World War, established in an original bunker intended for officers of German submarines stationed at the base in La Rochelle at the time. The exhibitions mainly show the period of the occupation of the city and its vicinity during the war. The collections include collections of uniforms, weapons, documents, as well as numerous photos and archival films.
The bunker is decorated with paintings and frescoes with a marine theme. During the visit, you can see not only the restored interior, but also 19 information panels presenting its history. You can also go to the projection room, where thematic and archival films are shown.
