Lantern Tower

Local name: Tour de la Lanterne

One of the three towers belonging to the medieval fortifications of La Rochelle. It was used as a lighthouse for ships entering the port. It is a cylindrical structure crowned with a high, mesagonal spire with stonework decorations.
