About 1,000 species of plants from the southern hemisphere were planted on the area of 4.5 hectares, including such unusual ones as the Brazilian giant gunnera or royal ferns from Tasmania. The garden, founded in 1947 by Éric and Nicole Pellerin, is kept in a close to natural state, and care treatments have been limited to the necessary minimum.
