Claude Monet's house

Local name: Maison de Claude Monet

The museum dedicated to the life and work of Claude Monet is located in the house where the artist lived and worked for nearly 43 years, until his death. The property has been declared a historical monument and entered on the prestigious Maisons des Illustres list. The gardens surrounding the house were entered on the Remarquables Jardins list, signed by the French Ministry of Culture.

On the first floor of the residence there is a Blue Living Room, a pantry, a studio and a dining room with a kitchen. On the first floor, you can see the private rooms of Monet, his wife Alice Hoschedé and Blanche Hoschedé Monet, his stepdaughter and daughter-in-law.

Visitors can also visit the studio next to the house, in which Monet painted the largest of the paintings and wall paintings. Currently, it houses a souvenir shop.
