Clermont-l'Hérault is a town picturesquely situated on the slopes of a hill, at the foot of which flows the Rhonel River. There are remains of a medieval castle on the top, and a lot of historic buildings can be seen in the city.

The Clermont-l'Hérault center is built at the lowest part of the hill. It is dominated by the Gothic structure of the collegiate church of St. Paul. Visiting its interior, you can discover many stone sculptures and partially preserved stained glass windows. The historic chapel of St. Penitents, one of the most beautiful buildings in Clermont-l'Hérault.

The main attraction of Clermont-l'Hérault are the ruins of a medieval castle standing on top of a hill. They can be reached by paths leading up the slope. One of the towers and a fortified residential building with a fragment of a wall have survived from the castle to this day. There are nice views of the surrounding area from the top.
