The Wine Museum was opened in Bordeaux in 2016 and was dedicated to wines from all regions of the world. This interactive museum with an area of over 13,000 m2 allows you to learn about the history of wine, among others in California's Napa Valley. At the top of the building there is also a restaurant and a viewing terrace, from which you can admire the panorama of the city and surrounding vineyards, and indulge in wine tasting.
The modern body of the museum was designed by the architects Anouk Legendre and Nicolas Desmazieres from the XTU architectural office. The cost of creating a carafe-shaped building was over EUR 80 million.
Visiting the facility includes 20 thematic parts located on 10 levels, among which were presented, among others wine fermentation processes, types of wine, history of liquor trade and advice on its storage.
