St. John's Cathedral
Astronomical clock stored in the cathedral of Besançon and built in the mid-nineteenth century by Auguste Luciena Verite. It illustrates the theological view that the resurrection of Christ transforms every minute of human life. The clock shows hours, minutes, seconds, days, months and years. There were 12 movable figures, which at noon depict the scene of the Resurrection. Animated images with images of French ports and a liturgical calendar were also placed there.
