Local name: Fort de Bregille

An 18th century fort built after the Napoleonic Wars on a hill above the Old Town in Besançon. It takes a strategic place giving the possibility to control the southern part of the city. Currently, the fort buildings are used by the police and there is no way to enter. There are external fortifications available, which offer a beautiful view of the countryside.
