NAANTALI tourist attractions

+3 attractions

Naantali is a city that is part of the Turku city complex. One of the most important family attractions of Findland, the Moomin World, is located here.

The town is small and currently it is primarily of tourist importance. It was established in the Middle Ages around the Brigid Sisters' monastery, the remnant of which is the gothic, stone Naantali Church. Colorful, low, partly wooden buildings have been preserved in the center, mainly from the 18th and 19th centuries. Currently, most of the houses are home to guesthouses, restaurants and souvenir shops.

The biggest attraction of Naantali is the Moomin Christmas amusement park on the island of Kailo, which can be visited from June to October. The moomin house and its surroundings have been recreated in the park, and many family attractions have been prepared, including the opportunity to meet the heroes of Tove Jansson's books. The island also has a beach and picnic areas, which are popular in summer.
