The Pharmacy Museum and the Qwensel House in Turku are located in the oldest wooden building in the city. Its interior is decorated in an elegant 18th-century style. Formerly, the house belonged to a wealthy burgher, Wilhelm Johan Qwensel.
In the wing of the building, where the oldest pharmacy in the country was located in the 19th century, there is now the Museum of Pharmacy. The permanent exhibition covers the history of pharmacy, the collection of pharmacy equipment and the interior of a traditional laboratory. There is a Children's Pharmacy waiting for children, where, under the supervision of a pharmacist, they can make their own mixtures.
