VORDINGBORGDenmark
Danmarks Borg Center
Local name: Danmarks Borgcenter
The museum is dedicated to Danish castles and ramparts. It is housed in two 17th-century half-timbered buildings in the center of the former Vordingborg Castle, founded in the 12th century by King Waldemar, and the oldest surviving medieval tower, known as the Goose Tower.
The museum has gathered information on about 2,000 castles and fortresses. Exhibitions are divided into indoor and outdoor exhibitions. Numerous containers have been placed in the castle square, in which you can see local archaeological finds, mostly from the castle area.
It is worth using the audioguide uploaded to the iPad received at the entrance. It displays information about each exhibit as well as themed videos, including reconstructions of combat and crafts.
