The castle garden was established in a romantic English landscape style on the site of a former baroque garden. There are numerous, winding paths, extensive lawns and forest groves, ponds and lakes, and many colorful flower beds. The garden is open to the public, as long as the royal family is not in the palace at that time.
Gråsten Palace is the summer residence of the royal couple. Queen Ingrid had a great influence on the appearance of the garden, especially its floral part. Currently, Queen Margaret II also supervises the selection of plants and the organization of the garden personally.
